Front end of the F15 wasn't great either. The headlight-kidney connection looked frumpy on that an the outgoing X3. Overall this is a much more modern design. The F15 only looked good with M package.
I still find the E70 to be the most attractive of the bunch. Absolute timeless design, they could stick it in a showroom today and it would look like a a 2019 model. My folks have a 2012 M sport in carbon black and it's an absolute badass.
