I just ended up moving it farther out away from the sensor and up to the top of the windshield. It kind of sticks out now, unfortunately, and is a lot more obvious, but I couldn't find another decent spot. I had mine mounted with a BlendMount, but I used BlackVue dashcams. I have a picture in below post.
