Thanks for uploading those photos. What was the part number for the air intake you purchased from BMS? I'm asking because I have a '21 X5 40i that I'm looking to add a JB4 and an air intake to. I sent an email to BMS for both of those and here was their response:

Their b58 intake will fit. I have it installed on my 22 40i. You'll just need to make a slight mod to the slot of the air sensor. It was a bit too narrow so I just got a file and you'll have to widen it. Other than that, intake fit with no issues. I'll post a photo when I get home.
