OK so he was second best to Ricciardo and only manages the odd pole position/fastest lap/race win but still.
Its not like he spins/goes off the track in every wet race, or always hits another car during practice/race and sometimes he remembers to brake before he hits a tyre barrier.. surely that must count for something.

VER's "not the brightest bulb on the tree" moment this year (although there are many to choose from) was
crashing the RB race car WHILE DRIVING IT FROM THE PADDOCK TO THE GRID before the race....as a dear friend once said...."ain't no cure for dumb".
