I think your missing the forest from the trees with this.
I am not talking Performance or luxury.
Simple the basis and platform of the type/style of car that was created.
We can all surmise the Aztek's body provides inspiration for BMW to build from and add its brand to it.
They took the baton and went further. The same as Lamborghini took and extended more.
Now it's up to BMW to reclaim the thrown. Personally BMW will always have because they are the ORIGINATORS.
Just like what MB is to the CLS/GT 4-Door.
