The best perfomance tires already loses grip below 6-4 degrees celsius. There are two type of winter tires, for western europe and for northern europe. Northern europe tires performe better with very low temperatures but these tires are softer and in summer they do not performe very well. Western Europe tires are harder and better in summer but do not have very good traction in low temperatures.
