I had wanted to get an M5 with 19-inch wheels but the cabin noise is just too much in that car so I am seriously looking at the X5 M50i with 22-inch black wheels.

My question is for those that actually have 22-inch wheels, do you find the ride jarring and harsh? I had an x7 loaner with 21-inch wheels and it was actually nice and composed.
It is a fair question and one that a lot of us had to ask to when we bought. I have an M50i with the 22". The 22" come with non-runflats which is a HUGE advantage over the 21". You go the 21" route and you are stuck with RFT which was a non-starter for me.

I have the DHP with 22" and it drives beautifully even in the city. I don't regret getting 22" wheels ever.
