FYI, I called BMW Genius today and they did provide a bit more detail about what the "Programming Issue" is that the cars are on hold for. There is a small safety related software fix being applied to all X5s that changes the amount of time before the doors will automatically unlock in the event of an accident or roll-over. He said this is a quick update that shouldn't hold the car up very long. He did say the fix was starting to be applied today to vehicles and they hope to release our X5 by Monday or Tuesday next week to be shipped to our dealer.
So the 11/1 or 11/2 delivery date might still be in play!
