The plan is to install each piece individually over time. I'm doing this for a couple reasons. First, I want to be able to feel each piece to see what seat of the pants differences they make. Second, I want to be able to quickly isolate an issue should something come up.

This weekend I'm also going to change the oil and tranny fluid. I bought a package kit of BMW 10w-30 motor oil and filter from Tischer BMW online. They sell all for $69 shipped and it was the best deal I could find. Here's the link (its about the 8th one down)

For tranny fluid I bought 2 bottles of Pentosin FFL3 which is what BMW uses in our tranny. It’s also the same stuff Porsche uses in some of their trannys. The best deal I found was here:

I am also going to install the Berk midpipes this weekend. I'll follow up with the FMIC in a few weeks then the DPs after that.

If anybody wants pics of anything under the car etc or is interested in something please let me know before tomorrow afternoon.

Honestly one of my biggest curiosities is how to get the car in the air. I already bought one of those hokey puck looking things for the floor jack. My plan is to jack from the front side jack point, install jack stand under rear jack point, repeat on other side. Then once the back is in the air jack from the front central point and get stands under the front left and right points. If I figure out a more elegant way to do all this I’ll report.

Should be a fun couple hours worth of work. I’m really looking forward to finally getting to do something on this car!!
Subscribed. Please post your method for getting the car in the air when you figure it out. (I'm still learning from the collective knowledge and experience of the group.) Do you think jacking up under the front side jack point will get the rear jack point high enough (13") for an Esco jack stand?
