I think it depends when and your luck too. Sometimes they just look for a reason to give you tickets for revenue. I got pulled over once with my wife on one of her bad days
It wasn't fun because she had asked me to put it on before. I had to mount, take a picture and go to court to show them. After that I started mounting front plates. For me either no plate or plate. I don't have a feel for off site plate. With this one, I'm trying my luck gain. I leave the plate in the trunk in case. I'm not sure if that would fly if I get pulled over.
