This has been discussed for all BMWs every time one launches. BMW history underrates their engines meaning they always perform better than stated. Example, my X3 M40i does 0-60 in 4.4s on all season tires, BMW claims 4.6s on summer tires. The X5 50i does 4.3s to 60, I'll have to see what mine can do after break in, I'm. better 4.2s
