Like someone said above - tire can be absolutely repaired and if done properly -hot patch on the inside -vulconizing - and not plugged, it will be a permanent repair.
Run flats only get unrepairable after you drive on them with no preassure. If you stop immediately when flat or have a slow leak- there is no damage to carcass.
