Actually, you could HAVE said it better....
If Chevy makes an awesome all-around car rather than simply an awesomely powerful car, then I don't care what the badge is, I'll consider it or at the very least respect what Chevy has accomplished -- and judging by the base Corvette, respect certainly seems in order. If a car ticks all the right boxes, that's good enough for me.
Not that you'd care what I think, but I have little patience or respect for people who either buy a car or dismiss one purely for the badge.
