So for the Apple iOS folks, if you already have an ENET cable, I would recommend getting the Ethernet to Lightning adapter as a wired connection will always be more stable and reliable than a wireless one (even though the current wireless OBD2 adapter options still do work well). I purchased the Ethernet to Lightning adapter recommended on the BimmerCode site.

Lightning to Ethernet Adapter:

• much faster than Bluetooth OBDII adapters = true
• more or same reliability = not necessarily true; depending on random state of iOS at any given time, the Lightning Ethernet adapter can be intermittent
