Do you know if the HK audio has a high-pass filter for the subwoofers or does it pass all frequencies "down to zero"?
We were replacing the speakers of a non-BMW car once and then discovered that the audio system had a high-pass filter which filtered out the lowest frequencies, so installing better speakers didn't improve the bass response at all.
