I've done stock bmw oil it's entire life until 80k just switch to the shell rotella t6. It's inexpensive and has good reviews especially with turbo cars and trucks. That being said iirc bms said all they use is mobile 1 and have had no issues. There is so much discussion about oil. Get a good one and change it often if you are pushing the car is the best advice I can give.
