I called BMW Genius today for the first time. It wasn’t that I doubted my sales guy at the dealership but I just wondered if Genius had better visibility or insight into my status. They just confirmed that I’m scheduled for production the week of July 5th...same thing my dealer said. Genius did say that production dates are changing constantly as they continue to calibrate for the ramp up at Spartanburg.
While I had the guy on the line, I asked him about the timing of the MY 2021 release. He said it is currently scheduled for orders to begin in late August. He had an 2021 ordering guide but no pricing guide is out yet. He went through it with me on the phone and said that he couldn’t find any differences whatsoever - no new colors or options (I specifically asked about LED Sky lounge).
