FWIW, all optional tire/wheel assemblies for any vehicle are all within 1-2% of the same OD...so, it doesn't matter if they're say 19" or 22" wheels on the X5...the speedometer and odometer will read the same if you were to switch. Sometimes, given certain brake choices, you may not be able to get all of the choices because of clearance levels to the brakes. The difference in sidewall height can make a big difference in the ride comfort as you change the wheel size, though. Smaller wheels are generally recommended when switching to winter tires.
