Is it possible to retrofit just Lane Centering Assist using simple Bimmercode change in KAFAS expert mode? I don't know why Lane Keep Assist and Lane Centering Assist require different KAFAS and sensors to function. One bounces the car from either one of the lane markings, the other reads both lane markings and keeps the car centered. The software can't be that different because hands free steering is not involved.
I've heard low speed Adaptive Cruise Control and Highway Traffic Jam Assist can be done with OpenPilot and Panda which is open source. The problem is BMW uses Flexray to control signals with the car and OpenPilot does not support Flexray yet
