I have the 20" square setup on my 40i. OEM Alenzas are actually doing quite well in the snow. I'm in Minnesota so when I end up replacing, I'll likely switch to CrossClimates or Continental LX25s, both of which are highly rated for winter performance according to Tire Rack.
I'll likely put the Nokian WRs on my wife's Volvo. Basically a performance winter tire that can be used in the summer, but the handling trade off is too large for my X5 and driving style.
