I think my dealer had an allotment that they may have changed because BMW genius said the car was ordered Oct 8th, but I wasn't even looking at the X5 back then they initially said my production week should be 12/1. Maybe that's when it will actually be produced and they just gave me a VIN to shut me up,  |
That's exactly the trick. At least in the US it's not about when you order your car but which already placed order your dealer adjusts to your likings. If you can afford to shop around you can check how close the dealer's allotted production dates are and you'll get your car within a month if you're lucky, and all the parts are available to the factory of course.
