My thoughts: the $500 discount for a standard feature is too low. Presumably as with all past ID models, touch screen should be retrofitable in the future. But costs of retrofit typically is $1000-$2000 range.

IMO, BMW can make this right and save some customer relationships by offering a free retrofit in the future. That would have cured the issue for me
