All are their own trim and not a package.
This doesn't bug or affect me since everyone is just following each other (AMG-S vs. M Competition vs. Audi Sport Performance) but it's confusing when this comes out stating BMW is going to do something that they are already doing.

The competition has always been a package optional with the base model until the F87 competition.
Prior to that, they have a option code for the competition package on the configuration sheet.
I believe the forced introduction of the F87C with engine upgrade in mid 2018 is exactly when they decide to seperate the comp and base more, and thus creating and solidifying the M hierarchy - base -> comp -> CS -> CSL
