That's not true. There is a need to play around with the lid to find the right position, so it can be completely removed from the engine compartment.
P/N for the pollen cabin filter is 61-11-5-A1B-DB6 (was 64-11-6-996-209). The regular one came under 64-11-6-996-208, but that seems to be changed as well. IDK the new P/N.
