Yes, correct. I have the factory subs on a high pass filter from 90hz and the new sub nicely fills the frequencies under that.
The technic harness has a plug for the factory subs. If you leave it plugged in, they remain connected to the factory amp. If you unplug it, the harness includes an adapter so you can hook them up to a new amp. All very convenient.
