You should mount the dashcam higher so it's out of your line of sight. When I'm at the track, I mount my iPhone/GoPro right next to the rear view mirror. Maintains full visibility. Just a thought.
Is there an option to hardwire it? I can't give up another 12v outlet. I have to have one for the radar detector and one for the phone charger.
