Welp after 2 months my hotspot finally works!
Dealer was clueless. Once my ConnectedDrive vehicle phone number changed on the BMW site, I signed up for the 3GB trial, and it didn't work.. so called AT&T a week or two ago, and after several emails (and them contacting BMWNA on my behalf) and them accidentally disconnecting my car from ConnectedDrive once, it finally works. Woo! Now to pay for all that YouTube kids streaming from the backseat ...
