Replacement at 15k!!
Took my car to the dealership yesterday for alignment. Service rep is telling me front tires are due for replacement. They are both at 3/32. 1 year and 15k miles. WTF. I don't even drive that hard. This is my 3rd BMW. Tires have always lasted me at least 30k+.
I have the 20" Pirelli OEM RFs on my 2019 x5 x40i. Service rep was telling me they make these tires soft for good grip. BS. I bet its a good trick to milk consumers. Replace tires every year. That's a good cash flow! I will be replacing all my tires with Pirelli Scorpion Zero non-RFs from Tirerack. They come with 50k tread life warranty and free 2-year Road Hazard. From what I read on here, it'll improve ride quality too. Win-win!
