When I spoke to my BMW rep he made it clear to me that what I was given was one of the last 2020 BMW X production allocations they had. When built, it won't be labeled a "2021" -- We both believe that this is why all the options available for 2020 were still 'in effect/applied'.
Not sure how many BMW dealers still have a 2020 BMW X production allocation. As I hear more I'll be sure to share here.
