When it’s not clearly identified as a compressor issue, the dealer will have to try all soft corrections first (ex: software update) to be able to let the warranty play. I had a similar issue on my Land Rover and the compressor was not working because there was not enough liquid in the cooling system. They identified a potential mini leak, fixed it, filled up the system again and since then no more issue.
