No harm at all. You can use the regular wall outlet to recharge (110 volt 10 amps) as much as you want. Slower charging does not hurt the battery at all.

If you arrive home (battery empty) at 6 pm and leave at 8 am, that will be about 14 hours and recharge a bit over 14 kwh into the battery pack.

110 volts X 10 amps = 1,100 Watts (or 1.1 kW).
1.1 kW X 14 hours = 15.4 kWh

There are some inefficiency losses during the recharge process, so it likely won't be 15.4 kWh recharged.
8% to 10% losses during transfer are normal.

The battery pack is 24 kWh in size, but you cannot use all of it.
I think the USA version is limited to 17 kWh and the EU version is 20-21 kWh.
I am not positive on those numbers though. Different articles have been inconsistent on this info.

I was just notified that my X5 45e has arrived at the dealer.
So I will figure this out soon.
