I've not been impressed with Goodyear tires on any of my previous vehicles, but have not driven them recently...things might have changed.

My new X5 45e comes standard with two axle air suspension, and I've not felt the RFT were a big problem. RFT get better with each model. FWIW, with the 45e, there's no place to put a spare...the EV batteries are there (well, actually the gas tank is moved, and that's there!).

Michelin has some they call run-on-flat...won't go the 50-miles unless lightly loaded, but I found them a better solution than the Goodyears.
