Two factors IMO:

1 - if you have a look around auto trader you'll see that there are alot of cars out there - most of them are either MBB, SB or DG. These are the basic colors that would go well with the car. Better to order safe colors to begin with to ensure the market is satisfied.

2 - obviously COVID-19. These cars unfortunately coincided with the pandemic thus factories are closed for almost 2 months, just reopened at 30% capacity. Individual orders would naturally be cut back until all this is over.
