Here is another good run down on the differences. The original N63 and the recent updates are quite different. They still have the hot Vee but better shielding, larger inter cooler, and the engine will run to cool it off. That being said there are issues. I would never run it really hot and ragged then just turn it off and leave it. Best to ride at a smooth pace before ending the day. I do love flogging on my rides though.
Which trim and model effects it too. The M50i engine is the "Top" performance in the N63 base with the obvious plus up being the change to the S S63 which is further upgraded. The Base N62 in the original 50i line is a M or a B based on year it was produced.
