I think you need a short shift knob. It is cheaper, the tranny will feel exactly the same, except the throws will be shorter. There are a bunch of OEM options as well as shift knobs from tuners such as the knobs from hamann and schnitzer. I think these also look much better, and you won't have to fuck around with these kits.
just my 2% comming from someone who has had 2 short shift knobs so far, and have loved them both.

Yeah, I ordered the Hamann knob. It'll be delivered with the Hamann sideskirts Jan 20th. I think it looks awesome.
