I am pretty sure you are right. I had 22-inch rims on my Cayenne S (was a $6K option, so I just stuck with it until we sold it in Dec last year) and used to have road noise issues when I replaced the original tires (in fact very similar to what you posted here). The issue never fully went away and wasn't suspension-related. I guess lower profile and wide tires on a heavy vehicle can be challenging. My advice would be to switch out the tires and see what happens (since rotating them isn't an option). Hopefully, your alignment is fine.
