It turns out that car companies build cars to suit different tastes. So while X6 is not my taste, I will sell like hotcakes to those who like this kind of vehicle.
By the way, I realize my comment about less cargo space lacks logic. If I were correct, every sedan would be a station wagon. It's not always about the space.

Except the reason often given for getting an SUV (at least in my experience) is more space. It's like getting a pick up truck without a bed in the back. To each their own I suppose.
