Things changed quickly in Abu Dhabi , Red Bull finally closed the gap and MAX destroyed the Merc's relaxed like I make my soup in my kitchen . But Merc was already 5 months working on the '21 Merc .

Merc tested a lot in the wind tunnel , the aero results are the best ever...

I too can see Merc doing a 'Newey' and concentrating more on aero a lot, but as you say the big danger is Tody in what he will allow Merc.
Wolff has said they are half way through their build for a W12 and behind the doors are concocting what they can get away with at Brackley NN13, hopefully unlucky for them.
