I've owned a few pair of buckle. Again, biggest disappoint in jeans is shallow pockets and every pair of buckle I've owned were the shallowest of pockets. Seemed like they didn't last very long either. Holes close to the back pockets wore pretty quickly.
I have a friend who swears by Big Star and that's all he will wear.
