I have the original iPad, 16GB version. I love it. I use it all the time, even when my laptop is right in front of me. I never travel with my laptop anymore (unless I need it for photo editing), I always bring my iPad. It is a great addition to my Apple TV.
I didnt feel that the iPad 2 was necessary. Its additions are neat and all, but I wasnt going to spend that fortune on another tablet again. I'll wait for the iPad 3 to come out and I'll get that.
