I guess highway mpg doesn't depend as much on weight if you're not speeding up and down too much. It's more about aerodynamics so for longer distances the 45e and 40i should have similar mpg since they share the same ICE. |
That was my thought/hope, that once it's cruising at highway speed it will do better than the EPA 20 mpg combined rating. For the size and weight of the 45e, I'd be pretty thrilled with 22-24 mpg highway on longer trips. My around town driving in LA will be 95% electric.
