Around LA, you'd likely see a lot of stop and go. The vehicle is heavy. Once it's going, it's not bad. Lots of stop and go, no vehicle is great.

Yeah, I basically expect dismal mileage around LA. Hoping most of it is on electric (and I have solar at home). My M3 gets around 14 mpg in LA so my expectations for the 45e around town (once the battery is depleted) are not high.

It's good to hear it'll do decent highway mileage if you're cruising though. The M3 did about 400 a tank on a long road trip and it sounds like the X5 will have no problem doing that or a bit more on a long trip.
