I have a compressor and a quality digital gauge and maintain as needed. The iDrive readings are almost always right on my gauge readings, so I'm comfortable monitoring iDrive readings and filling up/rechecking manually whenever needed.
Not sure I follow you on the resetting comment. Resetting doesn't recalibrate the iDrive readings, if that's what you meant.
