What would be fun to do, but likely never happen, is for the FIA and F1 teams to create a 3-5 race series for all the drivers in "spec" cars. Drivetrain, electronics, and chassis are the same for all. Teams can work on suspension setup, tire pressures, crossweights, etc. (I might be describing F2)
I think it would be a lot of fun for everyone and likely a bit eye-opening.

I saw the this series compete at Riverside International Raceway in Riverside CA
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivers...tional_Raceway the acclaimed road circuit. If memory serves me, the cars were identically prepared Porsche 911 Carrera RSR race cars or the IROC Z28 Camaro race cars, with twelve hand selected drivers from all aspects of professional motorsport....it was FUN.
