VW paid a little more fine but I think they got off too easy considering their history.
Yep, crazy stuff… EU called it a cartel. Daimler AG was part of it too but didn't get fined bc they tattled. The accusation is while they stayed in compliance with regulations they intentionally held back progress on anti-pollution tech. I don't really get it; if such tech existed, shouldn't the free market have brought it to cars via the other big car makers? The big 3 German autos don't control the worlds auto R&D.
