That is true, they are ahead in the US due to their larger availability of chips and greater new car inventory. BMW was smart to stockpile them as they have much more new cars than both Mercedes and Lexus who pretty much have largely scarce inventory, especially on high selling models. I expect third quarter sales to drop as the chip shortage seems to be having a greater effect now than before.
