Ditto here. Works fine on the CTEK type charger with hood propped. Been spending hours over several evenings learning and enjoying the electronics and audio, plus deciding on what to program the shortcuts. The charger is definitely a battery saver for that!

Does not work on 2021 340I MHT.
We tried mine and other four new vehicles from the dealer lot. Same behaviour on all three different chargers: Ctek, Noco 5 and Noco 10.
I also have a 2021 X4 MHT and works no problem with all chargers.
