Thanks everyone for the input and great food for thought. Will keep the boards posted with what I ultimately choose.
I'm sure I'd be happy with the 6 or the 8 - ultimately there are pros and cons on both sides as well all know, and as I don't keep cars for very long and don't mind switching out --- I'm less afraid of making the 'wrong choice'.
