Honestly I would of thought a flush and replacement would have been good enough but this must be serious coolant mixtures, which is why it would concern me if I was anyone else. Apparently smelling it is a good start to determine if it is correct or not. Mine was like a bad acid chemical smell. Not sweet like normal coolant. But I'd get it check at first service minimum for sure.
From a preventive standpoint, if someone wanted to check theirs now, how would they do it? Is there more than one coolant reservoir, one for the main engine coolant and a second one for this special secondary circuit? Which would also mean two separate routes through the radiator. Any clue what they did to drain it out?
