My wife and I are going to Europe in September. The first part of the trip is fixed. We will spend a week in France and then a week in Switzerland. We have an additional 9 days. I will have a rental car. The two options I'm thinking of are Vienna, Budapest, Prague or up the Rhine to Amsterdam and back through Brussels to Paris to drop off the car and catch our plane back home.

I worked in Amsterdam a few years back and would like to revisit for memory sake. But on the other hand, seeing new cities would be great too.

Any thoughts about where to spend 9 days in Europe while traveling with a rental car would be appreciated. Thanks!
